Oh well, we'll see I suppose. But isn't amazing that Seb can get away with so many reckless antics in this Brazilian finally and yet others like Hulkenberg for instance get instant penalties for committing identical offences to Seb??It's a weird reality we're witnessing in F1 these days. Thats for sure.
Ferrari won't even bother contesting this. A quick examination of a number of videos available on the net including slow motion and HD, show a marshall waving a flag just after the pit exit and before Vettel makes the overtake. The colour of the flag isn't perfectly clear, but it's certainly not yellow. If the marshall is waving a green flag, then there's no case to answer.
Oh - My - God! Just heard about SV's pending investigation by the FIA 4his illegal move on Vergne!!Thank Goodness for independent Youtube posts by members of the public as that move was never shown on BBC's own merit or initiative! Funny that - isn't it ;)I've said it so many times our Seb gets away with murder n every other driver - judged by a different standard.Justice 4 FA this Fri pls!
@346 Completely agree. Gifted his 1st, dominated his 2nd in the best car with no competition, and if he does keep this, he's once again had the clear best car and benefitted from huge amounts of bad luck to everyone else bar alonso who has took a red bucket to the limit and drove amazing. No doubt he is a good driver but made to look better by Adrian newey i think
@345"with shear concentration and without causing accidents"So crashing into Senna wasnt Vets fault?! Should have got his first drive through for that!Every driver races to win, just depends what machinery they have under them
344.@ dantheman917"If its 100% that SV did overtake on Yellows then fair is fair i say, rules are rules....." Totally agree if he broke the rules, which looks that way, then the winner is FA who had the best year while driving a tractor. If would be poetic justice. His first WDC was a gift from Ferrari. Like LH and many are saying, "SV is the luckiest man in the history of F1."
Can't stand Alonso with his sulky manner backed by the arrogance of Ferrari. I would have been happy for anyone to beat him in the championship.Vettel races to win and always does so with shear concentration and without causing accidents, a great driver.
If its 100% that SV did overtake on Yellows then fair is fair i say, rules are rules and are there for a reason. Many rules have already influenced the outcome of the WDC so its fair that this one does aswell. Be it from a Driver penalty that moved you up a further place, thus gaining you an extra point / few points. It all adds up in the end. TBH Alonso deserved it more and hope he is the WDC!!!
@312. redspace"How many points would Alonso have lost if you take away Massa's dodgy gearbox penalty and all the times team orders required him to move aside to let Alonso..?" Actually FM hardly helped FA at all. He was not where to be be found until the last 3 races or so. Webber took more points out of Alonso than what FM took out of the Red Bulls. Then you even have Schummie helping Vettel 2.
@340I agree, it seems he did overtake under yellows. Would seem harsh to lose the WDC this way but rules are rules, if he was penalised during the race and lost the championship ppl would say thats fair enough. But cos hes celebrated and everyone has written their articles, they dont want to have to change the result. He was lucky to get away with taking Senna out.
"... to ease his (Vettel) tortured mind a little, when his friend Michael Schumacher let him by with seven laps to go. "When your teammate helps some dont think is fair yet another pilot from another team helping you win the WDC? You would think that Schummie would be incline to help Ferrari due to loyalty after so many years with them. But NOPE, "come here German boy SV I will let you win."
