Pirelli boss on F1 tyre changes

Pirelli Motorsport Director Paul Hembery explains the changes made to Formula 1's tyres ahead of the German Grand Prix in the wake of the controversial failures at Silverstone.

Hembery tells BBC Sport's Lee McKenzie Pirelli "underestimated" the forces that would be placed on the tyres at Silverstone and reveals they have now stopped the teams from "inverting the tyres" - meaning tyres designed for the rear-right or rear-left of the cars cannot now be swapped around.

Pirelli has produced a tyre of a different design for this weekend's race in an attempt to solve the problem.
