195. Lol what? Who won the championship last year? Dummy.
Baku really puts Monaco in it's place as the horrible rat-run it really is. Monaco should be binned in favour of a proper track. And why is the BBC taking issue with my spelling of 'favour'?
I could remind you that vettel and Hamilton went through very similar learning phases at similar stages of their respective careers like max is doing just now. Give the kid a break, if he is still crashing into people after this season then yeah have a go but jeezo it's not like he is a 10 season veteran. He is a young kid trying to establish a team around him. Of course he'll make errors.
I could remind some of you about the look on Horner's face when MV crashed last time out, or his comments - both open and alleged on MV's driving. He is exciting to watch - reminds me of Mansell, but he can't expect LH, SV, FA and the like just to get out of his way if they don't want to. It's a drivers job to hold up the opposition where ever possible, the SC might pop out the following lap.
Lol Michael clutching at straws desperately as usual to save face for his underperforming hero.
191. Nico was the perfect dance partner at Bahrain 2014 though in what is arguably the greatest wheel to wheel dual in a fight for VICTORY in the sports history.Master vs apprentice. Nico never mastered the art of wheel to wheel racing despite being taken to school so many times.😝
191. As for JB and Nico holding their ground its more a case of Hamilton being a better all around driver than both of them but in different ways.JB had decent wheel to wheel ability but he was simply much slower than Lewis in terms of raw pace (Pirelli preservation championships from 2011 onwards did help him though) while Nico was genuinely fast but hiss wheel to wheel ability was crap.
190 These last few years must have been painful as hell for you seeing LH become one of the top 3 most successful drivers in the sports history.Lol come on bud, Hamilton has had a long career with countless top performances when he hasn't had a massive performance advantage. His "struggles" currently are related to Merc tyre/heat windows. Its nothing to do with not having a 1s-2s advantage
If Jenson and Nico had held their ground more Lewis would be up there with Pastor in crashes. Lewis is the most booed driver on the podium in history. That tells the true story.
Stop the witch~hunt BBC. Max is still doing a better job than Lewis when Lewis didn't have the most dominant car and Niki Lauda said 'he would kill somebody' Andrew Benson is scared of any threat to Lewis. Without the 1-2 second Merc advantage Lewis struggles.
@ 184Hamilton is completely different to any other driver in the way that he "gets upset". Verstappen, who I didn't mention, can crash his car as much as he likes. I just wish he wouldn't do it into other cars/drivers. Straight into a very padded wall is OK. Just like FP1. He's a bit robotic in interviews, especially trying to defend his botches. He's trying too hard to recover from China
@180. Posted by Forza Ferrari"I actually didn't realize he had never had a podium until a few months ago.For some reason i just took it for granted that he had lol"I didn't realise i until I read it here... How can he not have had a podium thus far, I could swear I'd seen him up there at some point?
@99. Posted by BRAVEHEART"...Your probably one of these sad people that still believe we landed on the moon...Or the earth is round ?"Seriously? Is your other BBC ID "My Stupidity No No, No N-No No, No N-No No, No No Nose Know Limits!" because you're posting remarkably similar twaddle?
*similar sorry not social
@184 Hamilton went through a tough few lessons in a regularly race winning car in 2010 and 2011 being involved in more than a few collisions that he could have avoided. It's a steep learning curve for top drivers in their first few years. Verstappen is just going through his now at a similar stage to of his career that Hamilton did back then also vettel in 2009 and 2010 had social growing pains.
183so none of the other top drivers get upset in any way? Try to look holistically instead of following your own agenda.Let's rearrange it - Hamilton - won a few races, well rather a lot, in fact a serious amount. Verstappen; well done a bit here and there when he remembers this is a car race - not dodgems down the spring fair.
@ 170Never noticed Lewis Hamilton's mindset lurching from pole to pole in the last 10 years? 2009 was his best year for team-slagging and tantrum toy ejection. He's a classic case."Cue a grumpy & confused Lewis Hamilton..." said F1 insider Martin Brundle at the most RECENT race. Of course, HE might not know as much as you.
Forza Ferrari- yes I would love to see Hulk in a good car too. Hopefully Enstone can do the business for Hulk . I should point out that Tiago's podium came at that USGP farce in 2005 where only 3 Bridgestone shod teams took part. Two of these were the Tiago's Jordan team and Minardi who were the slowest teams in F1 easily at the times Still a podium is a podium I suppose. Ferrari won that Forza
That percentage of race crashes graph is a bit revealing as it is a percentage, not a total - as far as any statistics go without a reference!
