576 - Button didn’t beat LH 2-1 it was 2-1 the other way. The button scored more points over 3 seasons is pretty funny though.
576. Man Utd outscore Chelsea over 3 seasons but lose 2-1. How many people gloat about Man Utd scoring more points over 3 years? Lol.JB deserved to win in 2011 but would have been comfortably outscored over 3 years when you factor in misfortune. Its not even close. Hulkenberg taking LH out at Brazil 2012 was enough to put it in JBs favour672-657 to JB should be about 841-725 to LH.
574. You can't serve drive through/stop go penalties behind the safety car. Kinda defeats the purpose no?SV would have had to serve the penalty after the safety came in. Also worth noting that it took the stewards a long time to give any penalty.IMO he deserved at least a drive through. So many previous championships would look very different if penalties were as lenient as as this.
@568. Posted by DistinctlyAverage"You CAN just watch the GPs, don't even need a set-top box. Use NOWTV..."Which still involves giving money to the man Beelzebub himself worships, so not on your nelly!Plenty of free options if you care to look around a bit thankyou.
(Cont'd)because he won his only title in a truly dominant car. However, you have to take these chances if you get them, and that's what makes the greats. BUT only got one chance to win a title, and he took it. Agruably, VET could have 1 more title(2017) and HAM could have 2(2007 & 2016).Those "less great" WCs are the likes of ROS, who had a top car 4 times and won just one "lucky??" title.
546. Posted by cheeryAllyj - "Rosberg fluke year apart when LH lost due to reliability issues he has beaten every teammate he has been with."Actually, that's not at all right. HAM and BUT were teammates at MCL for 3 seasons. Not only did BUT beat HAM 2-1, but he outscored him in total over those three years....however it WAS extremely close. Given this HYS, odd that BUT was underrated (cont'd)
@513. Posted by Forza Ferrari "i don't like it when they rush drivers into top teams because if it goes wrong then it damages their career."Agree - RBR/TR have a rep as career killers. They take promising kid, put him in F1 in a decent(TR) car, give him 1 chance(2 if lucky) and then boot him, with Marko making bad comments about him.Leave LEC in improving SAU for 19, Keep KR, LEC fo 2020.
Everybody who has said SV should have a stop/go penalty. Whether it was justified or not(I'm not giving an opinion), it wouldn't have mattered.Lap 1 - he comes in, changes nose and tyres. Lap3, he gets stop/go penalty. Lap4, he takes the penalty and comes out behind VB, but still on lead lap.All that changed is he's behind wounded VB, who he passed within 3 corners of restart and he's away
@571 F1 ForeverThanks for that, and d'oh!!!I knew it was going to be something obvious, but for the life of me I couldn't work out what. I assumed, stupidly, it was something that started with Hamilton....I'm an idiot.....
@480 "No comment on Stroll's tyre failure. I hope it was overuse or driver error (flat spot) rather than mfg fault - did thinner gauge "tread" part a play?"Sky showed a slo-mo of the tyre 1-2s before it exploded, and it was horribly damaged from his earlier lockup. He had taken all the outer surface off it and it was a huge flat area right across the tyre. Surprised it lasted as long as that.
