Laughable comments from some deluded Ham haters.“Hope it’s raining so Ham will have no chance” - er, he’s won 11 wet races, more than twice anyone else since 1990“Button and Rosberg destroyed him’ - two world championsButton beat him 1 year out of 3 in a dog of a McLaren.Rosberg beat him 1 year out of 4 by 2 points and promptly retired because he knew he’d never be able to do it again.
Just one of those days for Mercedes where everything went wrong, weather conditions, driver errors, strategy mistakes and the pit crew slow to react. No doubt last week was a sobering experience for all the team and I'm sure they'll all be extra determined to get back to their best in Hungary.
Like MrSaturdayNight I too missed the epicosity of the three races in a row.My reason though was that half of the allotted time Channel 4 allow to show the scraps that Sky allow them is taken up with a couple of chins, a leprechaun and a Welsh standup comedian spraffing and doing things that Top Gear discarded as not cool.Pay TV is killing the sport, hell mend the FIA and Liberty Media.
453. BobP- You clearly didn't watch the race there was plenty of good racing . I gather you are one of these miserable people who just looks to find fault with with anything and everything . The race was chaotic and exciting . Also we didn't have the safety cars more races would get stopped- the safety car keeps the race ticking over
453. Why does a race need to have clear strategy and clear evolution to be enjoyable BobP? Strategy dictating races especially with current Pirellis we have This has always been issue with wet races so presumably you have never ever enjoyed a wet race in F1. Seeing who gets the the big calls right was very exciting.
To all you guys saying “Hamilton wins because he has the best car” - oh p-leeease! Do you REALLY think that a badass like Ron Dennis would have given Lewis a drive at McLaren unless he rated him? Would Mercedes, hard-nosed, calculating and efficient Germans, have employed him unless they were 100% certain he could deliver? I am no Lewis fanboy, but his stellar record speaks for itself, surely?

Arrived at the F2 page and realised every article with HYS features Hamilton in its title. I suspect Benson probably had a picture of Lewis on his bedroom wall. Rita Ora would be healthier!
@450 Dear licence payer, as you have now made your sentiments absolutely clear, please could you stop reiterating them. We get it, you don't like him, fair enough, but I don't need to keep reading it. Thank you.
Licence Payer...You can always change channels...turn the haunted fish tank off...or go out and get a bit of fresh air to blow that ever growing chip on your shoulder. There are many sportsmen and so called celebrities that fail to impress me..but I don't feel the need to vent my spleen everytime I hear their name mentioned...now just breathe in.....and breathe out...
Haters you are indeed entitled to your opinion but why don't you get behind a successful British sports star. or is that is he is successful unlike other British stars. unlike our national always losing football team. It is indeed coming home, get in there Lewis.
@464 LP, As a Hamilton fan, which has been based on observation and research I do not mind if somebody posts a 'genuine' criticism. What I do not like is somebody, like yourself, posting continual criticism with no substantive evidence to back up your criticism. I have challenged you to post links to interviews where he comes across as not decent. Where are these links?
i missed the race that jolyon p and benson watched. the race i saw in germany was incident filled, but certainly not 'epic' or 'thrilling'. incident filled does not translate to a great race. i see why jolyp has no ride, i get that. i don't see how benson keeps his job though. a mystery, and a disgrace.
There is a fanbase which doesn't want to read anything which is in any way critical of Lewis Hamilton, I get it.I'm entitled to my opinion, you're entitled to yours. Just maybe refrain from using words like "hater" and implying racism whenever you come across a different point of view?
Haters are irrelevant. Lewis is likely going to go down as being the greatest F1 driver of all time - that's what he'll be remembered for. Haters will be long forgotten by then. Amazing considering his humble beginnings.
one bad race doesn't make a William season......
BobP - Well I suggest you turn the the TV next time there is a wet-dry race because randomness is what you are going together in changeable conditions. Races decided purely on strategy can be boring.
