Mistake ridden cheating pup, with less talent than max, is gonna send vettel to alfa? fishwives! seb will bounce back, fry him and take back no.1
@ 615 ORDER ORDER - Kimi was told to leave to make way for Leclerc last year. Now I know Giovinazzi is a Ferrari junior, so I don't doubt what you say in that respect, but Ferrari wanted Leclerc so that meant Kimi was forced out.Now officially Alfa maybe "independent" to some degree but in reality if Ferrari told them they're taking Kimi then they're taking Kimi. It'll be the same with Vettel.
CLC team like a right bunch of backstabbers. I knew all the weeping over bianchi and anthoinne was PR. c'mon Seb, show the luvvy how it's done.
CTT -Kimi wasn't put there by Ferrari he chose Alfa himself. Giovinazzi is Ferrari's nominated driver for an Alfa Romeo seat therefore he is officially considered to replaced Leclerc while Kimi officially took Marcus Ericcson's seat . There is one seat which Ferrari is allowed to nominate a driver of its choosing with the other driver Fred's choice . Gio is Ferrari's choice not Kimi
@ 613 ORDER - I don't understand as Kimi drives for Alfa. He was moved there from Ferrari to make way for Leclerc. So that's how Kimi ended up as Giovinazzi's teammate.Leclerc's management thoughts on Vettel was irrelevant as all such decisions are made by Ferrari - not a driver's management team. Nonetheless Vettel won't be there next year because he is failing them whereas Leclerc isn't.
CTT Ferrari put Giovinazzi in Alfa not Kimi . I think based on the frosty and uneasy relationship Charles and Seb have developed behind closed doors it safe they probably both both wanted to be clear No1 next to Kimi. Leclerc's management were not comfortable putting Leclerc next to Vettel knowing this would cause friction but Ferrari I think slapped the CL16 camp down.
@ 607 riqcxop2 - They could always do with Vettel what they did with Kimi several years ago when he still had a year left on his contract - give him a year's paid holiday.Other than that do again what they did to Kimi and send him off to Alfa so he can finish off his F1 career. But Vettel remaining at Ferrari in 2020 is untenable. They need a good #2 to back up Leclerc, so maybe Hulkenberg.
This all goes to prove one thing (as if there was ever any doubt):Its a lot more about the car than it is about the driver.
Another Benson article clearly intended to cultivate negative and derogatory comments about Seb Vettel. That moderator removing my comments, don't you like hearing the truth?????
@ 606. Ronald RaygunWhat on earth are you posting on here, that's resulting in your posts begin removed all the time.Calm down and think before you post mate.
@ 605. ORDER ORDERYes, I agree it maybe a risk; however, I think if he continues as he is at present; he'll be forced out.Ferrari, I'm certain would allow him the time for a sabbatical, he's still a highly marketable figure in F1 (4x WDC).
Couldn't agree more re SV.Is he a good driver? YesGood enough for a WDC? YesDo 4xWDCs flatter him? Yes and every year that passes since 2013 reinforces that view.Winning from pole in the fastest car with blue flags is always easier. But more often than not when put under pressure, he's buckled.Anyway Ferrari explicitly say he has a contract for 2020 and we know what that means in F1.
This comment was removed because it broke the house rules. Explain
michael162 A sabbatical would be a huge risk because once out he may not get back in . Where would he go if he came back? Red Bull? Ferrari? Mercedes all those teams might not need Vettel in 2021. For Vettel to have any kind of long term future in F1 he needs an late season renaissance this year and WDC challenge in 2020. Fail to do that and it will the end of Seb in F1 imo.
I think SV needs to take a year out from F1, enjoy his family, forget about F1 and fully recharge his batteries and reset his mind.Hopefully he might return with a fresh (rookie like) hunger to prove he can do it again.
Oh come off it, Vettel has never been good at wheel to wheel racing. For his entire time at Red Bull, when he won four WDCs, the strategy was all about getting on pole then establishing a lead in order to avoid exposing himself to such racing. And in order to see his weakness here, all you have to do is compare how he faired with Ricciardo when Red Bull lost their dominance. He lost all the time.
601You managed to find one example from 7 years ago.I can remember one hell of a lot more times he failed miserably against button, Hamilton, verstappen, Ricciardo, Leclerc etc etc
597...Just watch Brazil 2012...You are wrong.
