A bigger problem for Ferrari is how do they accept wolf as F1 head to get Lewis. Then, how do they make Lewis no.1 when he doesn't want it but must be no.1 for their intention, when CLC does want to be no.1?A lot of issues for fez.
Merc estimated that their net spend is about 30m, taking prize money and FIA dosh into a/c. They estimated that f1 exposure has a 1bn+ advertising value. Think about it, Ferrari doubling car sales off the back of the billion dollar kid? Win~win for both.
If Wolff goes I think Hamilton will too; and Wolff should go - he's the best candidate for F1 CEO and it's be a great opportunity for him. With different timing I could imagine Hamilton in a Red Bull though
So it's official. Vettel is going to get to fired. It's just a matter of time. Ideally Ferrari would love to have Hamilton take over and replace him.The only problem I see with this is Leclerc. Ferrari management have underestimated him from day one. In truth Leclerc is their future not Hamilton.I say fire both Vettel and the senior management. Then Ferrari may start winning again.
I wouldn't think going to Ferrari would be a good move. They are over rated as a team and manufacturers. Mercedes, if they stay in the sport, have a better history of dominance and make better racing and performance cars. Ferrari are no longer feared, so long as they are not allowed to cheat, but Mercedes are historically fearsome as competitors.
49 best way to mix it up is get more combinations on the cars, moe variables. since F1 started reducing variables we get a 3 team race. thats GP1, it lasted 1 season. When we had 2 tyres you got more mix ups as powerful/tyre combinations mixed it up. So more different bits can make a great change
if you put combinations of drivers together in he same car, you can have your direct comparisons. But thats not how it works is it? Lewis sits in the line of greats that have graced the sport, simple as. He is quick and he makes it look too easy sometimes. He will be quick in any car that can perform, this applies to any driver. Lewis made the Merc best in class this year, SCF had it and messed up
I couldn't care who drives what, just make the sport more competitive so there's not realistically just three teams involved year in year out.
493. Kevin1958"Yes there is if you believe that other drivers could have achieved the same results given the same machinery."So why didn't they? How many years in F1 has Lewis's team mate scored more points with the same machinery & where Lewis's machinery didn't break down more or he got crashed in to? A lot of Lewis haters on here, just let the guy be and support who ever you want.

432. the_quiet_man If this is not fake news, I'm surprised that Hamilton is considering leaving Mercedes after all the loyalty they have shown him. ---That cuts both ways.F1 Teams willdrop a driver as soon as it suits them.Look at Damon Hill at Williams. Dropped after winning the DWC
@490 F1 forever Even if you don't support Lewis there is no way possible to say that he isn't one of the greatest in F1 history. the guy has been virtually flawless for the last 3 seasons.
