Armagh continued their 100% record in Division 3 of the Football League as they earned a dominant win over Limerick in Kilmallock.

Kieran McGeeney's side took control early on as Aidan Forker's ninth-minute goal helped them lead 1-3 to 0-0.

A Thomas Lee goal cut the margin to three and that was still the gap at the break as Armagh led 1-6 to 1-3.

However, Armagh regained control after the break as a Mark Shields goal helped them move 2-10 to 1-4 ahead.

Armagh outscored Limerick 1-10 to 0-3 in the second half as they completed an impressive display ahead of next week's top-of-the-table encounter against Fermanagh.

Shields, Miceal McKenna and Tony Kernan all impressed in an Armagh side that were minus Jamie Clarke after the Crossmaglen star's late withdrawal from the side because of a niggle.

Clarke was replaced in the full-forward line by league debutant Andrew Murnin and he went on to produce an impressive display which included helping to set up Forker's early goal.

Ethan Rafferty and Finian Moriarty were also among the Armagh scorers.
