Donegal minor footballers have eight-week suspensions lifted

Two Donegal minor footballers handed eight-week bans following alleged incidents at the recent Ulster Minor Football game against Armagh have had their suspensions lifted.

The two unnamed players and two members of the team's backroom staff were given two-month bans by the Ulster Council.

A Donegal GAA statement on Tuesday said that the players's bans had been lifted by the Ulster Hearings Committee.

The two backroom staff have yet to hear the results of their appeals.

Last year's Ulster winners Donegal defeated Armagh 2-14 to 0-7 in the game at the Athletic Grounds on 31 May to set up a provincial semi-final meeting with Derry.
