Derry clinched the county's 13th Ulster Minor Football title as they beat Cavan 1-11 to 0-11 in the final at Clones.
Tiarnan Flanagan's goal on 29 minutes was crucial, helping the Oak Leafers lead 1-8 to 0-5 at the interval.
Cavan led 0-2 to 0-0 but four Shane McGuigan points helped Derry move into a 0-7 to 0-4 advantage.
The Breffni boys reduced the deficit in the second half with Derry keeper Ben McKinless also making a fine save to deny Cavan's David Brady.
Derry were clinching their first Ulster minor title since 2002 and they along with Cavan, will now progress to the All-Ireland Minor quarter-finals.
