Walsh Cup: Antrim earn 1-19 to 1-12 victory over UCD

The Saffrons lost their opening two Walsh Cup games against Laois and Dublin

Antrim earned their first victory of the Walsh Cup campaign as they defeated UCD 1-19 to 1-12 at the Queen's Arena in Belfast on Saturday.

The Saffrons led 0-9 to 0-6 at half-time and Ciaran Clarke's late goal confirmed their victory.

PJ O'Mullan's squad have been operating on two fronts in recent weeks with them also involved in the McGurk Cup along with a number of other Ulster counties.

Antrim will face Armagh on Sunday in the McGurk Cup at Queen's (noon).
