He is a six-time Olympic champion, has won 10 world titles and is now the proud owner of a Blue Peter Sport Badge.

Jamaican Usain Bolt was awarded the coveted badge alongside Great Britain's new world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis and world 10,000m champion Mo Farah.

The trio were honoured for inspiring people to get involved in a sport.

Farah, who will compete in the 5,000m final at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing on Saturday, said: "Thank you, and to all the kids out there - just work hard at it. You can't achieve anything overnight; be patient, take your time, enjoy what you do."

Ewan Vinnicombe, editor of Blue Peter, said: "It's great to see some of the most famous athletes in the world with their own Blue Peter Sport Badge for encouraging so many people to support Team GB and to get into sport."

Bolt, Ennis and Farah were presented with their badges by presenter Radzi Chinyanganya, during the Anniversary Games at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium in July.
