Lisa Maguire emerged the winner in the Netherlands

Lisa Maguire has become the first Irish player to win the European Ladies Individual Amateur Championship.

The Slieve Russell girl carded a final round of 79 in blustery conditions in the Netherlands to win by four strokes.

Stephanie Meadow of Royal Portrush jumped from seventh to finish second thanks to a closing round of 73.

Leona Maguire finished fourth on 12 over after carding a closing 80 while Danielle McVeigh posted a 78 to end in 19th place on 21 over.

Denmark's Charlotte Kring Lorentzen separated an Irish top three, finishing on 10 over.
