Michael Hoey stays top in Dunhill Links after a 66

Michael Hoey remains in a share of the lead at the Dunhill Links Championship after a firing a second successive six-under-par 66 on Friday.

The Belfast man, who played the Kingsbarns course, is joined on 12 under by Tommy Fleetwood.

Graeme McDowell is 10 under and Rory McIlroy seven under after both fired 67s at Carnoustie.

New professional Paul Cutler (73) is level and Darren Clarke (74) three over after also playing at Carnoustie.

Shane Lowry and Peter Lawrie carded 67s at Kingsbarns and both Irishmen are seven under.

Carnoustie was the venue for Padraig Harrington (71) on five under and Damien McGrane (72) on one over.

Paul McGinley was the only Irish player on the St Andrews course on Friday and the Dubliner is struggling on four over after a 72.
