Graeme McDowell finished in joint 38th place at the rain-curtailled Dunlop Phoenix event in Japan.

The Northern Irishman had gone into the third and final round on level par but finished on four over after a 75.

Toshinori Muto produced a superb 63 to win by four from Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, with Ireland's Shane Lowry in a tie for third with Ricky Barnes.

Michael Hoey was 10 shots behind winner Joost Luiten in the Johor Open in Malaysia which was cut to three rounds.

Luiten from the Netherlands beat Daniel Chopra of Sweden by one shot.

Ireland's two-time Open winner Padraig Harrington was two behind Luiten, sharing third place with Rhys Davies of Wales and Englishman James Morrison.
