Jersey's Olivia Jordan-Higgins says improvements to her short game really paid off in her Symetra Tour season opener in Florida.
She tied for 33rd place, eight shots behind winner Megan McChrystal, after rounds of 71, 72 and 76 but was upbeat about her prospects for the year.
"My short game for most of the weekend was really solid which is a real positive for me," said the 24-year-old.
"I've been working really hard on it and it's nice to see it pay off."
Jordan-Higgins is embarking on her second season on the tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, and is targeting a top five place.
Achieving that goal would secure a players' card for the main LPGA Tour.
Speaking after her final round at the Natural Charity Classic, she told BBC Sport: "I was obviously slightly disappointed with my final round.
"But I'm proud of the way I kept myself together and didn't give up.
"I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season and I believe it's going to be a good one."
