Michael Hoey on course for top-20 finish in Italy after 65

Michael Hoey finished his Italian Open challenge on a high note as he fired a closing seven-under-par 65 in Turin.
Hoey's eight-birdie round left him on 13 under and in a share of 22nd place while Gareth Maybin's closing 69 left him sharing 35th on 11 under.
Shane Lowry the leading Irishman in a share of 13th place on 15 under after he fired a closing 69.
Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano shot a closing 65 to win the title on 24 under - two ahead of Garth Mulroy.
Damien McGrane was in a share of 27th on 12 under after a closing 66 with Peter Lawrie three shots further back after his 69.
