@133RobRugby I love it, it's so true when it comes to the English supporting players. There is a consistent progression of support and it begins with an English player winning first followed by British, European, and then they begin to claim the commonwealth finally followed by South Africa, Fiji , and last of all anyone not American. If an American does win then they begin to look into Ancestry.
@130 Rory I wouldn't know that as I live in the USA so that theory doesn't apply with me. I watch the golf channel which has some awesome analysts in the likes of Frank Nobilo,Ian Baker Finch,Nick Faldo, and Brandel Chamblee to name a few. They keep it simple with a ton of facts and are 95% of the time positive in their outlook. No tabloid jargon.IMHO I think Rose turned the corner at the Ryder cup.
@134Until he wins, then it is no longer ridiculous?i remeber backing him when he won at St Andrews, he was 3/1, it was a massive price.i had £1500 on him; think he won by about 8
See PP have McIroy at 10-1 to beat Jacks record of major wins! LOLWhat a joke!
wouldn't back woods at 4/1 with someone else's money, let alone my own. He may be the best golfer but with so many runners its a ridiculous bet at those odds. I'm on KJ at 100/1 good record at the masters and raises his game this time of year.
Why is Justin Rose English but Rory is British?I think someone is jealous of other countries success!
Go on McIIroy!
I've got Dustin Johnson at 33/1
129.You cant be serious I think you will find Rose is tipped by English experts, not by pundits around the world. It is the usual case of biased punditry and nationalism which more often than not unfounded. Don't worry if McIlroy wins the head-lines will be "British golfer wins the Masters". Though he was nurtured and learned his trade through the I.G.A
@Ozilinho your like a broken record mate. We get it you think Rose will never win a major despite the fact that hundreds of golf experts around the world think he will. Wait a minute are you an expert in disguise? On positive note what about the 14 year old shooting 1 over par, really unbelievable stuff. Typical start for Tiger, a little careless at times and should have been -4 at least.
Everyone's jealous I have the favourite in the sweepstake. Don't know any of them but I've mentally spent the £17 already.
Sergio Garcia,,ive got him each way at 40/1
My two against the field. Snedeker & Gmac
Predicting golf is a mugs game. Lets just enjoy some good play.
He finishes top ten a lot but doesn't win often, he's a good consistent player but not a champion. His 15 year pro careers show's that.
All this user's posts have been removed. Why?
@Ozilinho He's won a WGC and that's good enough for me to say he can win a major. Easy guess to say top ten finish, heck why didn't you take a risk and say he'll make the cut.LOL.
YCBS 53@ Yes i watched the tournament, Tiger made his move on Saturday and Rose fell away badly as i said. Woods made early birdies in the final round then just played par golf on his way in, Rose had a stinking start to his last round made a nice recovery. He's a good player for sure, but he's not a winner, top ten finish this week? sure, never the bottle to win a major though.
