Colin Montgomerie enters World Golf Hall of Fame

Colin Montgomerie has been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Florida.

Montgomerie has not won a major title but finished European number one eight times between 1993 and 2005.

The Scot, 49, was a member of the European Ryder Cup team on eight occasions and never lost a singles match in the competition.

Montgomerie also captained Europe to victory in the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in 2010.
