Cornish golfer Sarah-Jane Boyd says her first England call-up for next month's European Ladies' Team Championship is a 'dream come true'.
The 21-year-old from Truro won the English Women's Amateur Championship at Kings Norton Golf Club in March.
"Its always been a dream of mine to play for England and I'm really going to enjoy the whole experience.
"It's always an absolute honour to play for your country and I can't wait," Boyd told BBC Radio Cornwall.
The championship at Fulford Golf Club in Yorkshire begins on 9 July and includes teams from 22 countries.
England have not come out on top in the event for 20 years and Boyd said: "To win the gold medal would be a massive deal to us.
"We've had several training sessions up in Yorkshire, got to know the course really well and have given ourselves the best chance."
Boyd will also play in this year's Women's British Open at St Andrews in August, having qualified by virtue of winning last year's British Strokeplay title.
