Jersey have claimed the women's golf inter-insular after thrashing Guernsey 17-3 at the Royal Jersey in Grouville.

Jersey had led 8.5-1.5 overnight and continued that dominance in Thursday's singles encounters.

"We're obviously delighted but the score doesn't really reflect the matches," Jersey Ladies Golf Association president Nicki Langly-Smith told BBC Radio Jersey.

"Half of the matches went to the 18th, so it really was pretty close."
