England's Charley Hull held on to second place in the season-ending Dubai Ladies Masters despite hitting water and a double bogey on the 18th.

Hull, 18, shot a two-under-par 70 to finish the second round on seven under overall - five shots behind world number five Shanshan Feng, of China.

"The wind really gusted when I hit that shot," said Hull. "I'll have to dig deep tomorrow."

Tiger Woods' niece Cheyenne Woods is among the leaders, on five under.

Feng shot a bogey-free five-under-par round of 67 to break clear of the pack and move to 11 under after the second day's play.

France's Gwladys Nocera - Hull's closest rival in the Order of Merit - has a share of third on six under.

Hull leads Nocera by just over £18,000, with £59,000 on offer for the winner in Dubai.

Wales's Amy Boulden edged closer to the 2014 Rookie of the Year title, on level par after 36 holes. She is two shots ahead of her nearest challenge Sally Watson of Scotland.
