The first Scandinavian Major years over due...or a German . Justin Rose, having now an American Major, must have a real chance. Still can`t quite believe how fantastic British golf is now remembering as I do the the dark days of the 1970s.
McIlroy insists he is a foreigner so lets hope for a genuine home win.
Bubba Watson!!!!!!! love his style and his name
Justin Rose won the US Open a couple of years ago, he's English
RobRugby,Are you sitting comfortably on the bank there, soaking up the rays.....
@cmacYou sound like Nick Faldo. Is that you Nick? Jealous of every player with more talent than you?Speaking of Nick Faldo, he was the last English man to win the Masters. In fact he was the last English man to win a major. wow. 1996.#GoTiger#GoRory
Re:125, I've never met him so neither like nor dislike him. What I cannot abide is the ongoing zealous fascination with him, and the constant media coverage and continued love in. I have said it for long enough, he is done at the very top level, if he was challenging, fair enough, but he has not, for many years now. I will be glad when he is out, so that I may enjoy coverage of other players !!
124, I think it was planned that way to allow for maximum exposure. I don't wish him any ills but will shed no tears when/if he misses the cut. I , like many, have not missed him playing in any way, shape or form. Golf does not need him, time moves on. Let's enjoy Rory, Jordan & others instead of this out of sorts has been, I can only hope, but suspect not.
123 cmac.your constant reminders that you dont like TW are just pathetic...we get it..you dont like him! because of this if TW even does remotely well (makes cut) I for one will be letting you know about it
@cmacAgreed. If I were that conscientious I would put a stopwatch on him just to see how many screen minutes he occupies compared with others, but I already know the answer. You just wait, they will probably show more shots of him on the range than most other players on the course.
Time is almost upon us for the (2nd) greatest golf tournament of the year, so happy viewing. I would like a Brit/European to win but if not I am not fussed, so long as not TW, who I suspect will not be around at weekend. Just a shame TV coverage tonight starts just after he tees off, so may watch sparingly tonight as I can't tolerate the incessant coverage, though he is playing with JW !!
Rory is in the enviable position Tiger was in 10 years or so ago. Basically, if he produces his best golf, he will win.
It ill behoves 113Leaguefan to imply that anyone else is dumb when he uses 'less' instead of 'fewer' and talks about 'scoring' shots instead of 'taking' them in his own comments.
