Michael Hoey has failed to make the cut at the China Open following a disappointing three-over-par 75 in Friday's second round.
The Belfast player finished on seven over in Shanghai after a round which included two birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey at the 16th.
Fellow Irishman Damien McGrane also missed the cut after the 75, leaving him on three over.
France's Julien Quesne leads by one stroke on eight under.
Hoey has won five European Tour events - most recently the 2013 Russian Open title - but has struggled for form so far in 2015 and his best finish of the season came at last week's Shenzhen International when he shared 25th place.
