Teenage world number one Lydia Ko beat America's Morgan Pressel in a play-off to win the LPGA Tour's Swinging Skirts tournament in San Francisco.

The 18-year-old New Zealander birdied the second play-off hole to win the event for the second year running.

Ko shot a two-under-par 70 to finish level with Pressel on eight-under.

After winning her seventh tour title, Ko said: "I hit the ball really well. It makes this course a lot easier. Last year I wasn't hitting the ball good."
