The return of the European Senior Tour to Jersey will put the island "on the map", according to the organiser.
Some of the biggest names in seniors golf will play at La Moye, the first time since 2010 that the course has held an event.
Among the players taking part are Ian Woosnam, Sam Torrance and Mark James.
"It's a very big tournament, highlights will go out all over the world and it puts La Moye on the map and Jersey on the map," Jim Brewer told BBC Jersey.
La Moye used to host a main European Tour event until 1995, when they lost the event and replaced it with a senior competition.
But a lack of money forced the event to be cancelled after 2010.
"This year we have a prize find of 250,000 Euros (£184,000). It's a lot more than we've ever had for the seniors before," Brewer said.
"It's the best-ever field and I couldn't have hoped for a better field from the professionals."
