Former world number one Tiger Woods followed up his best score of the year with a one-under-par 69 in the second round of The Greenbrier Classic.

Woods's birdie on the 18th moved him to five under for the tournament, four shots behind leaders Jhonattan Vegas of Venezuela and USA's Scott Langley.

On Thursday, the 14-time major winner carded his lowest score since March 2014 with a 66 in West Virginia.

Woods, 39, has now shot his best back-to-back rounds in almost two years.

Vegas posted five birdies in a 65 while England's Greg Owen is among seven players one shot back on eight under.
