BBC Sport - Open 2015: John Daly's 1995 victory at St Andrews

How the 'Wild Thing' won The Open

BBC Sport looks back at how John Daly - known as the Wild Thing - won a dramatic 1995 Open title at St Andrews.

The American looked set to lift the Claret Jug before Italy's Constantino Rocco produced an incredible putt on the 18th green to force a play-off.

However, Daly triumphed easily over the four additional holes, with Rocco taking three shots to escape a fearsome bunker on the 17th, the Road Hole.
