Northern Ireland Michael Hoey looks to be out of contention at the Czech Masters after carding a one-under-par 71 in his third round.

The 36-year-old five-times winner on the European Tour will go into the final day nine shots behind leader Belgium's Thomas Pieters.

Hoey had five birdies and four bogeys as he failed to threaten the leaders at the Albatross Golf Resort

Pieters had a seven-under-par 65 and is one shot ahead of Pelle Edberg.

Sweden's Edberg shot a flawless round of 67 which included five birdies to sit on 16 under par overall.
