on 12 Apr 2016 05:17If you're only ever going to win 1 major in your career it may as well be the Masters. However, the most memorable moment of this years event has to be Ernie Els 7 putting the 1st hole on the 1st day. How he didn't just call a taxi I'll never understand.

on 11 Apr 2016 21:47To all who are saying that Willet didn't win it - Speith lost it. There were over a hundred others who 'lost it' too. So credit where it's due eh?.
Also, and I'm only guessing here, but had Jim Nance chose to address Speith during the indoors presentation, I think he would've responded well - judging by his conduct with the press later that is. -

on 11 Apr 2016 21:44Well done Danny Willett but god help everyone when Spieth gets his swing back - lead for three and half rounds with tee to green game of an 18 handicapper.
If Westwood could putt half as well as JS he would be challenging Niklaus' record by now. When he brilliantly eagled the 15th, the green jacket popped into his head and he duly 3 putted the 16th.
Also well done Michael Fitzgerald -

on 11 Apr 2016 21:25Toughed it out, played good golf, then when Speith dropped four shots he held his nerve, which took a lot of nerver. Well done Danny Willett. I am sure the press will now get you a nick name like "Danny Winn-it" , in which case you are made for life From a Lancastrian. Can you let Lee Westwood win one?! Fantastic result. Augusta picks the champ who can deal with it.

on 11 Apr 2016 21:25Well done Danny!
What is it with Brits - they just love to decry any successful sportsman/woman - these days all sports are very competitive and a winner can come from a number of players - not just a select 2 or 3.
Am sure Speith, McIlroy and others will have their turn again (even Westwood perhaps??).
Great to have so many potential winners every week as far as I am concerned. -

on 11 Apr 2016 21:05People who would wish to wallow in someone else's misfortune are very sad individuals indeed. I am sure JS will dust himself down, work out a technical flaw and go on to be a very good, perhaps great player. And the sad individuals who come on her, what will you do - perhaps you can stick the boot into Rooney or Roy Hodgson, and continue to live your life of mediocrity being jealous of others

on 11 Apr 2016 20:39Jordan's implosion meant it was a thrilling end to the Masters. Very happy for Danny, but it did need Jordan to have his nightmare. HOWEVER, how Danny managed play the last 3 holes was a testament to his grit and ability. A great evening's entertainment and a good night for English golfers. Not sure if I was Jordan that I would have been that chuffed to present the jacket (twice) - awful!

on 11 Apr 2016 20:33Spieth's caddy is partly to blame for giving him too much club when laying up short of the water on 12th from the dz.
