Women's Open: Amy Boulden bemoans poor finish as Welsh trio miss the cut

Bogeys on the 13th, 14th and 16th holes cost Amy Boulden a place in the final two rounds

Welsh players Becky Morgan, Lydia Hall and Amy Boulden all missed the cut at the Women's British Open.

Boulden and Hall completed two rounds in +3 with Morgan one shot behind.

South Korea's Mirim Lee is the leader at the halfway stage on -11, though her second round 71 was a disappointment after she fired 62 on Thursday.

"I was playing well up until the last six holes and I've hit a couple of bogeys coming in which has cost me a little bit," said Boulden.

A better finish would have seen Boulden make the cut-off score of +1 and stay for the final two rounds.

"I finished three over so I've missed the cut by two," she added.

"I'm playing better - so it's a case of nearly. I played well for the first nine so it's disappointing to come off a that finish."
