Just tried to register to "elevensports.com" where apparently I won't be charged until 16/08/2018 after my one week freebee.Tried to charge me £5.99.Don't have a problem with the cost - have a problem with the fact that massive events are now being controlled by online sites that actually lie to you!
Sorry this is not McIroy related but what a joke this coverage of the USPGA is, i've had to login to my wife's facebook account on my ipad, any better ideas out there please? Many thanks
MclLroy needs to slow the swing down and put like he did in the 2011 Us Open. He takes the putter to far back at the moment and doesn't keep it any where near enough to the floor. No point in driving it 350 yards if you can put a wedge closer than 50 feet. Also needs a proper/ experienced caddy on the bag to help in those pressure moments.
@31Not a Woods fan but at his peak he was the best clutch putter ever after Faldo. Also agree with your DJ comments who has advanced enormously as regards his short game.McIlroy talks the same stuff before every major,I think the real problem is that he lacks the intensity and hunger to win and is waiting for a title to drop into his lap. It's entirely possible that he'll never win another.
"I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do to make that little step from contending and getting into final groups to lifting trophies."Try to start holing some pressure putts Rory because I've never seen a golfer miss so many five footers when it matters at the sharp end.
Haven't I read all this before? His problem is he's facing the wrong way,he was brilliant in those Santander adverts....
More excuses before the tournament starts from Rory..becoming a habit...in his prime Tiger may have been struggling with some aspects of his game.. but didnt show to the media or publc he was. He has a lot to learn .
Drive for showPutt for dough........
aesthetically pleasing but THAT doesn't win you golf tournaments
Rory said it all last week. He just likes to give each ball a whack, just like Charlie Hull. They obviously have that something in common and it is evidenced in their results. Spieth is the diametric opposite, everything planned and discussed but in 2018 that is not working either. DJ plays each approach shot on its merit and goes from there. Nicklaus was meticulous, Woods dynamic but considered.
Armchair golfers are experts in what is wrong and how to correct it, RM knows exactly what is wrong and is trying to sort it out, he will find a way to fix it and all you trolls will be eating humble pie.
What I find sad about Rory is that I don't believe he is tough enough to win another Major. We may say it is his putting or his approach play but the problem is in his head. Afraid he bottles under pressure.
5 of us used to watch Golf on TV but now NON...talky talky, easy wide fairways...no rough, commentators talking up..'he's in the rough but the lie is good ..6 iron to PAR 5 AND THAT'S ONLY THE SECOND SHOT.....Top 20 Players in the Tourney 20 Under Par..it's not Golf it's Pitch & Putt
@1 Yeah, I mean his caddie only plays off +4 so hardly likely to know what he's taking about...
Rory, If you want to win this go and take a putting lesson off Georgia Hall.
30, williethe stats you're quoting are basically backing up what everyone knows, and what RM is now admitting himself ieRory doesn't hit his approaches close enough and therefore isn't able to hole enough putts. As I said before, sort out the wedges and the putting stats will improve. Easy, eh?Strokes gained putting stat is no surprise. Tiger has always been a better putter than RM
