So pleased - and relieved - that Justin Rose made it over the line.
Mikleson's greed is staggering: https://money.cnn.com/2013/01/23/news/economy/mickelson-taxes/index.html just another cry baby Republican.
Hats off to Tiger Woods, who I'd written off as having no hope of recovering the form he had years ago. Personal problems, injuries and mental approach to the game would have been enough to defeat most golfers, yet he has overcome everything and is proving that he is one of the all-time greats.I didn't think he'd ever challenge Nicklaus's majors record, but it looks like that could go as well.
@392 Blade. They are not just any 30 man field, they are rather last 30 best men standing for the year. The Fed Cup is a series of 4 tournaments with 125 top-ranking golfers on the regular PGA tour qualifying for the first one based on a points system. Then the second tournament is whittled down to 100 and third to 70 and the last one to 30 based on results. Yes, it is an impressive win.
Well done Justin Rose that's all I want to say.
He is a magnificent golfer but a disagreeable person. He is not God, but I suspect he thinks he is; no thanks to the enormous legions of fans yesterday nor his supporters. Regularly ignores fans including children who only want an autograph. Pitiful. This will only continue now as he continues his "comeback"; very sad.
Good to see woods back putting the youngsters in there place. But is it really a proper tournament as only 30 in the field, The Europeans buckled under the pressure esp RM again, hope they don't play to tight pins in the Ryder cup as the yanks will slaughter them.
Tiger maybe one of the greats and played superb golf from tee to green. However Ben Hogan nearly never walked again and is one of the greats along with being a gentleman on and off the course, unlike Tiger. His golf is a great example for youngsters but not his private life. As for the commentators do they want to have his babies!!! It is nauseating to listen through. There are other golfers
So, what is there to dislike about the multi millionaire women's favourite Tiger Woods?
A lot of Woman have seen Tigers Wood
@438 - denierI assume you’re looking for a bite there so I guess I’ll oblige.Perhaps you could explain how exactly Tiger did not win yesterday?
Tiger did not win yesterday.
well done and well played fella....!
Forget the hype regarding Tiger. Lets congrat Rosie on a fabulous year and concentrate on regaining the Ryder Cup from the Yanks.Want Rosie to win all his matches and then win Sports Personality in December
Wow just saw DJ is number one again. That has to be the shortest period as a number one in the world ever for Rosey. Still a great year for him and he has to be the biggest money winner, and according to TheKnowledge that's all you need :-).
Congratulations to Tiger and Rose.As for McIlroy....his nightmare-being paired with Woods-led once again to the worst final round, 74.Lets hope he can 'take the positives' out of that....ie it wasn't 75; he did better than Mickelson....
@431 TheKnowledge LOL, bwa,ha,ha,ha,bwa,ha,ha. Bitter much? Yes of course having lots of money makes you happy, not.How ironic your title is TheKnowledge when you are lacking so much of it. Money doesn't make you happy, you may well be experiencing that.
428. Hopefully Tiger still intimidates. It reminds me of what Mickelson supposedly said to some of the younger players who were friendly with Tiger and desired to see him back at the top of his game. Mickelson stated that"Tigers are not known to be domesticated animals" !!! The younger set will now find out what that means LOL
"I've had a not so easy last couple of years"Well yes, of course it must have been, sitting in his luxury mansion as a multi millionaire. What a decidedly dislikeable fellow he is.
