Be Good to see an English winner of this for a Change....but it is a tough Competition....and all we can do is wish them Luck
@43 RadletteerGood call, terrific player and was in with a shout last weekend until she took an 8!Plays so well and seems to have these odd slips which end up costing her a few strokes.Definitely one of the best players to watch though.
Top Tip: Brooke Henderson
Looking at the strength of the field I think a top-10 finish for any of the UK contenders would be an excellent result, but I suspect even that is unlikely. There's a lot of top talent in the women's game at the moment and very difficult to pick a winner.
At my golf course we have a girl playing off +3 and trust me they can hit a ball. Football and rugby women can't play. But tennis and golf they can albeit a bit shorter holes.
1. Posted by Koppite on 28 May 2019 14:06No, not a chance. Last week's win in a pro am was lucky. We will not see that ever again. Actually, never heard of her until she won this tin pot cup. --------Got a hair across it today or something? Empty vessels make the most noise.
I think it would be a stretch to ask her to win 2 in a row. But I wish the europeans well and a good tournament.
Good luck to the British girls, maybe our greatest ever player king RM could give you all some tips and advice on how to be a champion.
Very hard to win back to back at this level and the usual contenders will no doubt raise their games as the occasion requires,Nelly Korda is always in the mix, inevitably the challenge from the Seoul sisters will be strong and Nasa Hataoka looks in good form.Bronte will need another strong week with the putter to contend but looks mentally strong and confident,it should be a great tournament.
Does anyone know whether any UK Channels are showing this?
Any win on USLPGA tour is certainly a very good achievement. Not sure if she’s ready to compete against much more established players from US, Korea etc. over 4 days on a tough course but there again you never know.
KoppiteYou are very critical of Ms. LawPerhaps you could enlighten us all with a list of your lifetime achievements so that we may have a fair comparison and judge your comments on merit.Oh and please do not include internet trolling as an achievement !
How depressing are the comments on here - It feels like being back in the 1980s. I really thought we'd moved on but clearly there are still misogynistic idiots out there
Am generally not a fan of womens sport and the amount of coverage it gets according to its actual following although womens golf is different. The girls have great swings, skills that I as a weekly player can only hope to have. As a 48yo male, id probably still be considered a star in womens football, womens cricket if I identified as female even today. Best of luck Bronte, Charley and Georgia
When is the Womens US Open taking place?
