Jersey will play host to more than 80 competitors at the 2011 Gymnastics Inter Island Games between 7-9 July.
Gymnasts from Jersey will be up against competitors from Aland, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Faroe Islands, Isle of Man and Anglesey.
Director Arthur Falle said: "Although it has taken an immense amount of organisation we are delighted that so many islands are coming to Jersey.
"The event is a great opportunity to showcase our sport and our island."
"We particularly welcome Cayman Islands, as this is the first time they have competed in gymnastics at Island Games level."
The competition has both senior and junior events, with 12 judges set to attend from across the UK, including former British Olympic gymnast Barry Winch.
"As well as the competitors and officials there are a number of supporters attending and several of the islands' teams have never been to Jersey before.
"We hope they will all be impressed by the level of competition and by the welcome they receive."
