Guernsey are still on course to repeat their 2009 success in the HA Trophy

Guernsey are in the third round of the HA Trophy after beating Purley 3-0.

The Sarnians progressed to the last 16 of the national competition with two goals from Adam Kitching and one from island captain Matt Watson.

"That's two rounds where we haven't conceded a goal and that makes us a very difficult side to beat if you're that miserly at the back," player-coach Andy Whalley told BBC Guernsey.

"Defensively we were very solid, we only gave away a couple of corners."
