Lincolnshire hockey players Crista Cullen and Georgie Twigg say they are raring to go ahead of the Women's Champions Trophy in Argentina.

Both players are hoping to put in good performances as this is the last ranking tournament before the Olympic Games this summer.

Last year, England finished fifth after a disappointing campaign.

The Great Britain team are in Pool A, along with Japan, China and Netherlands.

Cullen, who plays for Leicester Ladies, was in the squad for the recent Four Nations tournament where Great Britain lost in the final.

She told BBC Lincolnshire: "It's our only other performance tournament of the year apart from the Olympics.

"We want to come up with the results so people at home get behind us come the Olympic Games."

Twigg, who has been doing climate training in England to prepare for the tournament, added: "I think it's going to be a great tournament and a great experience to play against the best teams in the world."

Both players are hoping to make Team GB for the Olympic Games. Cullen was part of the Great Britain team for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. If Twigg gets called up, it will be her first Olympic Games.
