Lauren Turner hopes Leicester Ladies can use Sunday's victory in the National Indoor Hockey Sixes final as a springboard for outdoor glory.
Turner's late strike at Wembley gave Leicester a 1-0 win over fierce rivals and outdoor league leaders Reading.
"Any win over Reading is a good win and the girls can take confidence going back into the outdoor season," Turner told BBC Radio Leicester.
"Hopefully we can push on and win the outdoor season as well."
The outdoor season resumes after its winter break on 11 February with Leicester trailing Reading by seven points.
But Turner said they will gain confidence from Sunday's trophy triumph.
"We would have preferred a bit of a bigger scoreline," Turner added.
"We expected them to frustrate us a little bit but ultimately we came out on top. Both teams had plenty of chances and despite there only being one goal, it was still fairly exciting."
Katie Long, who set up Turner's winner, added: "It was tight but 1-0 doesn't justify the chances both teams had.
"They were always going to play a defensive game so we had to be patient but we were due a win in a final and we got it."
