Ireland's women earned their second win in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Belgium as they defeated Russia 3-0.

Michelle Harvey celebrated her birthday by putting the Irish ahead from a penalty corner.

Ireland withstood some Russian pressure before Audrey O'Flynn hit Gene Muller's side second goal from another penalty corner before half-time.

O'Flynn completed the scoring from another penalty corner eight minutes after half-time.

The Irish, who defeated France 5-2 in their opening game on Saturday, have a rest day on Monday before Tuesday's game against Mexico (1200 GMT).

"Our corners were very good today and performed well overall and played with good structure and precision against a tricky opponent," said coach Muller after the game.

"The team are looking forward to a rest day tomorrow and on the back of two good wins."
