Under-21 World Cup winners Germany will compete in a four-nations tournament at Mossley next month.
The Under-21 competition, which will be played from 11-13 February, will also feature host country Ireland as well as England and Scotland.
The event will take place thanks to sponsorship from Newtownabbey Borough Council and Sport Northern Ireland.
Ireland will face Scotland on 11 February before taking on England and Germany over the next two days.
Sport NI's director of performance sport Dr Shaun Ogle said that the competition would offer young Irish players "an excellent opportunity to showcase their skills".
"Sport Northern Ireland is pleased to support the U21 men's international hockey event through the International Sport Events Programme, which aims to develop improved performance pathways for Northern Ireland athletes, players and sports," said the Sport NI official.
