Ireland's women started their World League 2 campaign in Dublin with a comfortable 5-0 win over Ukraine.

Two Anna O'Flanagan goals and a Cliodhna Sargent strike put the Irish 3-0 ahead by the 17th minute.

Ulster woman Megan Frazer and Aine Connery added further goals for the competition hosts in the second half.

The Irish, who face Canada and Turkey in their other group games, must finish in the top two in the tournament to maintain Olympic qualification hopes.

Canada will be Ireland's opposition on Sunday before Tuesday's contest against Turkey.
