Anna O'Flanagan celebrated her 100th Ireland cap by scoring in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Canada in Toronto.
The win gave the Irish a 2-1 lead in the four-match series which is forming part of their preparations for their World League 3 campaign next month.
Chloe Brown put the Irish ahead early on before the Canadians levelled before half-time.
Ireland had to repel pressure after half-time before O'Flanagan's goal was followed by a Megan Frazer strike.
The sides will meet in the final game of the series on Wednesday evening in Toronto (23:00 BST).
