Ireland women lost 3-2 to Canada in the last of the four matches between the countries in Toronto on Wednesday night, the series ending 2-2.
The games represented Ireland's final warm-up preparation ahead of World League 3 in Valencia in June, where they could seal Olympic qualification.
The Canadians raced into a 2-0 lead, Naomi Carroll replied, then Canada found the net again before half-time.
Irish captain Megan Frazer scored a stunning goal from a penalty corner.
