The 2,000 Guineas is on 30 April and the Epsom Derby on 4 June

Dubai Prince will miss the 2,000 Guineas and Epsom Derby following a training setback.

He has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture of his right ilial wing and will need a few weeks to recuperate.

Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: "It is a big shame as he had been shaping up nicely. He should be fine for later in the season."

Dubai Prince was about a 10-1 chance for the Guineas and 14-1 for the Derby, behind hot favourite Frankel.

He was unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile for Dermot Weld and is now trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni.

Godolphin still have Casamento and Saamidd engaged in the 2,000 Guineas and a decision regarding their participation will be made in the middle of next week.
