The evens favourite King Kenny, ridden by Mark Lawson, went one better than last year to win the Jersey Derby at Les Landes.
King Kenny was pipped to the post by half a length in the 2010 Derby, but this time won by the same distance, edging Sans Sa Dame into second.
It was trainer Angie Corson's first success in the annual race.
She lies second in the island's overall Champion Trainer table with six wins, behind leader Alison Malzard with 13.
Lawson is the leading jockey with eight wins, closely followed by Jamie Goldstein on seven.
The next meeting at Les Landes is 'Ladies Day' on Sunday 14 August.
