Taghrooda wins the Epsom Oaks

Third-favourite Taghrooda won the Epsom Oaks to give jockey Paul Hanagan his first Classic success.

Trainer John Gosden clinched a maiden Oaks win as the 5-1 shot beat Tarfasha by three and three-quarter lengths.

Tarfasha, ridden by Pat Smullen, edged out third-placed Volume to give owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum a one-two.

Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Marvellous, aiming to complete a fillies' Classic double for trainer Aidan O'Brien, finished well down the field.
