Trainer Jonjo O'Neill saddled the 2,000th winner of his career as Centuro won at Uttoxeter in dramatic circumstances.

Centuro was half a length down when jockey Robbie Dunne, on board long-time leader Red Hot Chilly, was unseated just a few strides before the finish.

That left 7-2 chance Centuro, under Aidan Coleman, to claim victory in the juvenile hurdle.

O'Neill, 64, has won the Cheltenham Gold Cup as a jockey and a trainer.

He famously rode Dawn Run to victory in jump racing's blue riband event and took up training 30 years ago after retiring as a rider.

O'Neill overcame cancer and his big-race victories include the Grand National in 2010 with Don't Push It, ridden by AP McCoy.
