Peterborough Phantoms have replaced head coach Curtis Cruickshank with former NHL defenceman Chris Allen.
The Phantoms have opted not to renew Cruickshank's contract after leading the side to the English Premier League play-off semi-finals in his debut term.
Allen, 32, had an injury-plagued playing career but featured twice for NHL side Florida Panthers.
Most recently he has held coaching roles at Edinburgh Capitals, who he also played for, and Telford Tigers.
The Canadian featured six times for Phantoms this season to replace injured overseas player Darius Lelenas.
