Forward David-Alexandre Beauregard has signed a deal to return to Nottingham Panthers for the 2011-12 season.
Beauregard, 35, joined in April and played a vital role in the club's Challenge Cup and Play-Off double.
And the French Canadian says the success he enjoyed - including netting the winner in the Play-Offs against Cardiff - convinced him to stay.
"Last year ended so great I didn't want to go anywhere else, and I'm thrilled to be back," he told the club website.
"Corey Neilson [player coach] and the players know what it takes, and we've got a mission for next year."
Neilson added: "David showed last year that there is much more to his game than just getting on the end of plays and putting the puck in the net, although he did score a few big goals too."
