Bracknell Bees have signed Latvian defenceman Sergejs Louskins for the 2011/12 English Premier League season.
Louskins joins from Swedish Division One side Lindlovens IF, where he scored one goal in 33 games last season.
The 27-year-old also has international experience, having won a bronze medal with Latvia at the under-20 World Junior Hockey Championships in 1999.
Bees boss Gareth Cox said: "Our priority was to find a physical defenceman and we got that in Sergejs."
Cox continued: "[Assistant coach] Lukas Smital and I worked long and hard to try and find the right import defenceman for next season, and we have taken our time to consider and research numerous options.
"I'm looking forward to welcoming Sergejs in September and know that the fans will be pleased to have somebody of his size patrolling our blue line."
